Short stories pack infinite ideas, questions, character explorations, and worlds into deceptively slim packages. Discover some of the season’s best in new short fiction at this Incite reading series event in Vancouver, BC, presented by the Vancouver Writers Fest in partnership with Vancouver Public Library.

The event features three award-winning guests, including Vincent Anioke (Perfect Little Angels), Carleigh Baker (Last Woman), and Shashi Bhat (Death by a Thousand Cuts), who will speak with VWF Artistic Director Leslie Hurtig about their intriguing new releases. Books will be for sale at the event courtesy of Book Warehouse, a division of Black Bond Books.

This talk is one of the many exciting events included in CapU’s Change Education Series this year for Asian Heritage Month. These events delve into the stories of resilience and demonstrations of cultural pride that define the Asian Canadian diaspora—stories that bring awareness to the ongoing struggles against anti-Asian hate, and stories that celebrate the vibrant and joyous cultural diversity of Asian communities.
