"Blue Is the Warmest Color," the film version of Julie Maroh's graphic novel, has won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
The three-hour film has generated controversy for its explicit sex scenes but praise for director Abdellatif Kechiche and its stars Lea Seydoux and Adele Exarchopoulos.
The film will be released in North America this fall through Sundance Selects/IFC Films (USA) and Mongrel Media (Canada).
Julie Maroh's French-language graphic novel Le bleu est une couleur chaude
was published by the esteemed Belgian graphic novel publisher Glenat. Arsenal's translation will be published in September.
