The film version of Julie Maroh's graphic novel Blue Is the Warmest Colorl
, entitled "La vie d'Adele (Blue is the Warmest Colour)," is an Official Selection in competition at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
Directed by Abdellatif Kechiche (Couscous
, 2007), the film is about a French girl named Adele who falls in love with a blue-haired girl named Emma.
"La vie d'Adele" is competing against new films by such directors as Joel and Ethan Coen, Roman Polanski, Steven Soderbergh, and Jim Jarmusch.
Arsenal's translation of Blue Is the Warmest Color
will be published in October.
