Catherine Hernandez at LiterAsian Festival in Vancouver (Sep 2017)

Catherine Hernandez reads from her acclaimed novel Scarborough at a free event at this year's LiterAsian Festival of Pacific Rim Asian Canadian Writing in Vancouver on September 21.

Catherine's novel, about the dispossessed living in Toronto's sprawling Scarborough community, won the Asian Canadian Writers' Workshop Emerging Writers Award and is now in its second printing.

Catherine reads from Scarborough as part of a multi-author event to launch LiterAsian; other presenters are Jen Sookfong Lee (The Conjoined), Janie Chang (Dragon Springs Road), and Julia Lin (Shadows of the Crimson Sun).
