Kai Cheng Thom wins Dayne Ogilvie Prize from Writers' Trust of Canada (Jun 2017)


Kai Cheng Thom, author of the poetry collection a place called No Homeland, has won the $4,000 Dayne Ogilvie Prize for LGBTQ Emerging Writers from the Writers' Trust of Canada. The award was presented at a ceremony in Vancouver on June 3.

Kai Cheng is also the author of the novel Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars (Metonymy Press) and co-author of the children's picture book From the Stars in the Sky to the Fish in the Sea, forthcoming from Arsenal Pulp Press in Fall 2017.
