Books by Raziel Reid (When Everything Feels like the Movies
) and Hubert & Marie Caillou (Adrian and the Tree of Secrets
) have made the American Library Association's 2016 Rainbow List for the year's best LGBTQ books for young people.
Raziel's book won the Governor General's Literary Award in Canada and was runner-up in the 2015 Canada Reads competition, and will be published in the UK by Little, Brown this February. The ALA named it to the Rainbow List's Top 10 books of the year.
Hubert and Marie's book is a French graphic novel (translated by David Homel) about a young, nerdy high school student from a strict Catholic family who falls in love with a boy in class.
